Architect by trade (Politecnico di Torino) and PhD in Humanidades (Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona), Laura is a photographer, independent researcher, cultural operator. She alternates her work as an author with the curation of cultural projects and territorial investigations, with particular attention to fragile places.
Her work has been exhibited in numerous museums and cultural institutions, including: Biennal de paisatge, Barcelona; Chelsea Art Museum, New York; Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Rome; Fundaciò Espais d’Art Contemporani, Girona; II Architecture Biennal Rotterdam; Centre de Cultura Contemporània; Rapallo Fotografia Contemporanea.
Terna Prize for contemporary art, finalist for the Francesco Fabbri Prize, she prefers to work on long-term projects and collective works. She collaborates with universities and institutes as a teacher of contemporary visual culture and on specific research projects. She is Co-founder and Vice-President of Viso A Viso, a community cooperative.
